Another big deal was completed yesterday, Meirong.com (means “Beauty”) was sold for middle 7 figure price, the buyer was a Chinese investor. In my memory, the seller just sold his domain name of Lian.com (means “connecting” “face”) more than ¥3.5M CNY (approximately $525k USD) in the beginning of August. I have to say the seller has had a big harvest in August.

67y.com was sold for middle five figure CNY price.

OTHERS

NetEase Inc. uses the domain name of 163yun.com as NetEase Cloud website (Yun means “Cloud”).

The website of maiche.com (means “Buy Car”) was launched, Maiche.com was sold for ¥10M CNY (approximately $1.5m USD) in 2015. The buyer was Lei Jun (CEO of Xiaomi Inc.), but he gave it to a company that he invested in, Mucang.cn.

According to Chaomi.cc, on Aug. 24th, the total volume was 8407 domains, and the total turnover was ¥517,097 CNY (approximately $77k USD). Compared to Aug. 23rd, the transaction volume decreased 29.5% and total turnover decreased 46.3%.

    I wouldn’t have thought that Meirong.com would get 7 figures (Maybe high 6 tops). Just goes to show how different the markets are in other countries. It’s truly hard to monitor every countries buying trends effectively enough to evaluate a domain accurately.
