Chinese Pinyin domain name of yongyouyun.com was acquired by Yonyou, is a software company headquartered in Beijing. Yongyouyun.com was sold for a six-figure CNY price, the seller was Chinese domainer Digua. He registered it in 2011, the total renew fee was about ¥385 RMB, so his return on this domain name was at least 260 times.

742.com was sold for a seven-figure CNY price, the buyer owns many other number domains as well, such as 9681.com,1824.com,9161.com and 9733.com.

Dianpu.com was auctioned for ¥640,000 CNY (approximately $93,023 USD) at Jinpai.com. “Dianpu” means shop in Chinese.

Xiaoxiao.com was auctioned for 492,000 CNY (approximately $71,511USD) at Jinpai.com. “Xiao” means small or smile in Chinese.

Yuanfen.com was auctioned for ¥415,000 CNY (approximately $60,319 USD) at Jinpai.com. “Yuanfen” means fate or destiny in Chinese.

Jxb.com was auctioned for ¥294,000 CNY (approximately $42,732 USD).

Wht.com was auctioned for ¥274,000 CNY (approximately $39,825 USD).

Lvlv.com was auctioned for ¥232,000 CNY (approximately $33,720 USD). “Lv” means green, trip and donkey in Chinese.

Xhu.com was auctioned for ¥108,000 CNY (approximately $15,697 USD).

OTHERS

According to CNNIC’s report, the total amount of .CN domain names was more than 20.6 million by the end of December, 2016.

According to Chaomi.cc’s data, on Jan. 19th, the total sales volume was 6253, the total sales turnover was ¥3,779,136 CNY (approximately $549,293 USD).

    Noted the new reg lists cyber security high on the agenda in China as well.
    “wangluo anquan” reg 2007 – 65,000,000 listings
    “anquan wangluo” reg 2017 – listings 35,900,000 !!!
    “Cyber Anquan” reg 2016 – listings 2,920 The lowest but the one I covet most in terms of the future generic use.
